The Experiment That's Leveling Up My Clients Engagement

Let’s Be Real—Guesswork Isn’t Strategy

As a social media manager, I’ve seen how many businesses fall into the trap of posting content just to “keep the feed alive.” But here’s the truth: consistent posting without purpose or testing won’t get you meaningful engagement. Likes may come and go, but real strategy? That sticks.

That’s why I’ve been mapping out an experiment I believe every social media marketer should be running—especially if you're working with niche, regional markets like the Caribbean.

The Experiment: One Message, Multiple Formats, Different Times

Here’s the breakdown of what I’d test:

  • Content Type: One core message repurposed into four formats—Reels, carousels, single images, and stories.

  • Industries: Test across my client segments—real estate, hospitality, and wellness.

  • Timing: Post each content type at different times (AM, midday, and evening).

  • Metrics: Track reach, saves, shares, profile visits, comments, and link clicks for 30 days.

This experiment isn’t about chasing virality—it’s about understanding what actually moves the needle for your audience.

Why Caribbean Brands Deserve Data-Driven Content

The Caribbean market is vibrant, but it's also underserved in marketing data. Strategies that work in the U.S. or Europe don’t always translate here. Cultural nuances, time zones, even mobile internet usage habits play a role in how and when people engage online.

By testing content format and timing, I can better guide my clients to stop throwing content into the void and start connecting with their audience in a way that feels intentional—and gets results.

For My Agency, This Is About More Than Metrics

At Sequoia Socials, my mission is to help Caribbean brands grow their digital presence without compromising their authenticity. Experiments like this one give me the insights I need to back creative ideas with real performance data. It’s not just about looking good online—it’s about building a community that engages, converts, and sticks around.

Let the Data Do the Talking

If you’re a fellow marketer or a business owner trying to grow your digital footprint, here’s your reminder: Stop posting just to post. Start testing. Let your audience’s behavior tell you what’s working—and double down on that.Because when you post it like you mean it, the results speak for themselves.
